The Modular Solution
The Modular Mission Equipment Kit establishes a secure, IP-based digital backbone for the UH-72 Lakota, integrating avionics, mission computing, encrypted networking, and multi-band communications into a single, certified architecture. AOG is currently under contract to deliver MMEK for the UH-72B with delivery scheduled for July 2026, and for the UH-72A with delivery scheduled later this year.
Architecture
MMEK collects data from ARINC 429, RS422, RS232, RS485, TCP/IP, and discrete I/O interfaces, translates that information into a common IP-based format, routes it through a secure internal network, and exports it in real time to ground commanders through the onboard MANET data link.
The architecture was designed from inception around the Army's Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA) — delivering open architecture, modularity, interoperability, cybersecurity, and a phased growth path through software and modular payload integration.
CYBERSECURITY
97.6% STIG compliance achieved across all hardware and software components. ATO package submitted to Army Cybersecurity Office including System Security Plan, VLAN architecture for CUI/non-CUI separation, AWRS COMSEC compliance, and documented POA&M.
System Configuration
A fully integrated mission equipment package combining EO/IR sensing, tactical communications, MANET networking, crew displays, and mission computing in a single certified installation.
